This transformative project equips 300 vulnerable young people (60% female, 40% male, ages 15–35) in Kamuli District with practical green economy skills to create decent jobs and sustainable income. Through hands-on training in Interlocking Stabilized Soil Block (ISSB) construction and solar energy technologies, participants gain valuable expertise to build eco-friendly structures and install renewable energy systems.Training is delivered in community-based innovation hubs located in Wankole, Bulopa, and Namwendwa sub-counties—safe, inclusive spaces designed to promote gender equity and diverse learning opportunities.
Key Focus Areas:
- Green Construction & Renewable Energy: ISSB block making, solar installation, maintenance.
- Work-Based Learning: Industrial attachments with private sector partners.
- Entrepreneurship Support: Business mentorship, micro-finance access, startup toolkits, market linkages.
- Gender & Social Inclusion: Safe learning spaces for women and marginalized youth.
- Environmental Sustainability: Promoting eco-friendly construction and renewable energy uptake.

- 300 UV-TAB certified youth skilled in green construction and renewable energy.

PROJECT 2: Gavi Immunization Demand Generation – Eastern Uganda

This initiative strengthens community demand for immunization in hard-to-reach and underserved areas of Eastern Uganda, focusing on zero-dose and under-immunized children. Working closely with local government, cultural and religious leaders, and CBOs, the project tackles behavioral and social barriers that prevent families from accessing vaccines.Using Human-Centered Design (HCD) and Behavioral and Social Drivers (BeSD) insights, it promotes gender-responsive and culturally sensitive strategies—such as male engagement, peer dialogues, and radio talk shows—to build trust in immunization services.
Key Focus Areas:
- Community Mobilization: LCs, VHTs, and CBOs linking zero-dose households to service points.
- Capacity Building: Training 90 district stakeholders and community leaders on BeSD and immunization promotion.
- Media & Advocacy: Radio campaigns, dialogues, and community engagements to dispel myths.
- Gender & Inclusion: Addressing gender barriers with influential leaders and inclusive community platforms.
- Monitoring & Data Use: Profiling households and using digital tools for improved planning.
